We’ll help you import your contacts on Wajooba.

Solution 1: Import contacts by uploading a file

You can upload a file to easily import your contacts into your account. This is best when you have additional info or custom fields that you want to track when managing your contacts.

Wajooba helps you easily categorize your imported contacts by course, so make sure to create one file per course. You can upload any .csv, .tsv, .txt file with any set of columns as long as it has one record per row.

Follow these steps to add or customize your data.

  1. Add each contact per row of your file and customize it following these columns. Leave the cell as blank if you don’t have the data for a specific column.

💡 If you have custom fields, make sure to add the custom fields to your Settings first, then add the custom fields as the last columns of your file.

    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email
    • Phone
    • GRN
    • Street
    • City
    • State
    • ZIP
    • Start date (mm/dd/yyyy)
    • Tag
  2. After you enter your data, save it as a .csv, .tsv, or .txt file.

As soon as your file is ready, you can start the import of your contacts.

  1. From your Wajooba account, go to Contacts.
  2. To import contacts, select the gear ⚙️ icon from the upper right corner of the screen and select Import Contacts.
  3. On the Import Contacts prompt, select Next.
  4. From the All Courses dropdown, select the course the contacts will be associated with, then select Next.
  5. On the Bulk Add Users prompt, select Upload data from file and open the .csv, .tsv, or .txt file containing your contacts from your device.

Match the details on your file with the categories on Wajooba.

  1. After you upload your data, confirm the column headers from your file. When asked, Does the selected row contain column headers?, select Yes since we have already organized your data from Step 1. Otherwise, select Select another row or No header row.
  2. Review your data and match it with the correct header. If they match, select Confirm mapping. Otherwise, select the correct header from the Lookup matching fields dropdown. If you don’t want to include any info on the import, select Ignore this column.
  3. Once done, select Review.

After you match the info with the appropriate headers, you have a chance to have another look and review your data.

  1. To easily see contacts or rows with issues, select Only show rows with problems. You can then review its data and edit it as necessary.
  2. To double-check the edits you made, select Show modifications.
  3. Once you’re good with the data, select Continue.
  4. When asked Are you ready to submit?, select Yes, unless you need to go back to your data.

Solution 2: Bulk enter contacts

If you don’t have a file that you can upload, you can also import your contacts in bulk. Compared to uploading a file, you can’t bulk enter any custom fields that you want to be associated with your contacts.

Follow these steps to bulk enter your contacts.

  5. On the next screen, bulk enter your contacts per row. Except for the first name and email, you can leave a cell blank when you don’t have specific data for your contacts.
  6. Once you’re done entering your contacts, select Continue.
  7. When asked Are you ready to submit?, select Yes, unless you need to go back to your data.
